Bridetoberfest Presented by the Chicago Green Wedding Alliance
Thursday, October 3rd
6:00 p.m.
Chicago Green Wedding Alliance in coordination with the Chicago chapter of Barley’s Angels, an organization that works with craft beer focused breweries, brewpubs, restaurants and more to advance the female consumer craft beer enthusiast, is excited to announce Bridetoberfest! An evening of beer and brides, Bridetoberfest is a beer tasting for brides, grooms, couples of any description and their friends, combined with a casual wedding event featuring eco-friendly wedding vendors and tips for creating a more mindful event.
The Beer Hall:
This event has been created to encourage couples to support local breweries at their wedding and events. Attendees will receive a commemorative tasting glass at the beginning of the event & five tasting tickets—choose 5 beers to taste from the featured breweries. Taste beers from local breweries including Goose Island, Revolution, Tighthead Brewing, Two Brothers Brewing, Metropolitan and more! Snack on some pub chips, popcorn and cheese straws or purchase pints of beer and delicious, beer-worthy food (like brats, pulled pork, pretzel bites & sausages!) by FIG Catering, Goose Island, Pure Kitchen, Katherine Anne Confections, Luscious Layers & more!
The Planning Lounge:
Beyond the beer (as if you needed more!), there will be a casual planning lounge set up where couples can meet, greet, and ‘prost!’ with Chicago Green Wedding Alliance members and consider other aspects of their wedding. Throughout the space, there will be tables filled with information and inspiration on how to build a green wedding. In addition, there will be live music by Stephanie Rogers and her band!
There will also be a raffle drawing every hour on the hour with great prizes. The event is cash only. $15 per person includes Commemorative CGWA tasting glass and 5 samples of local brews including seasonal Oktoberfest offerings. Additional beer and food will be available for purchase. Purchase tickets http://bridetoberfest.brownpapertickets.com/
