Around the World Sweets Preview Party

Katherine Duncan, founder and confectionista of Katherine Anne Confections, a locally-focused chocolatier, is excited to host a Preview Party featuring all of the upcoming flavors for the month of April. For the May treats, Katherine Anne Confections decided to be adventurous and explore some flavors not typically found in chocolates. May is always a fun time of year and the chocolatier is celebrating by launching 16 new flavors showcasing flavors from all around the world and incorporating them into the truffles, caramels and marshmallows. The confectionista is exploring the world through truffles with fun combinations like market cherries with black pepper and balsamic in a bittersweet chocolate ganash—flavors found more typically in France. Representing Thailand, the Kaffir Lime + Ginger + Tamarind truffle was created and the Orange Candied Coriander caramel will have you thinking India.
The Preview Party is a chance for attendees to preview and indulge in 16 new limited edition, un-launched truffles, caramels and marshmallows to be released in May. The treats will be available at the confiserie.
Kaffir Lime + Ginger + Tamarind: bittersweet chocolate, kaffir lime leaves, fresh ginger, tamarind
Lauren’s Birthday Truffle: as of yet, undecided, though it will most definitely be delicious
Curried Coconut (v): bittersweet chocolate, coconut milk, curry powder from Curry’s
Cassis Rosemary: semisweet chocolate with cassis and fresh infused rosemary
Cherry + Black Pepper + Balsamic: white chocolate, market cherries, black pepper and 18-year aged balsamic
Gin + Tart Apple + Lemon: white chocolate, Death’s Door gin, green apple, tart lemon
Mole: bittersweet & milk chocolate, almonds, sesame seeds, chilies, cinnamon, pepitas, raisins and much more
Peanut Butter Coconut Curry: milk chocolate, peanut butter, coconut & coconut milk, curry powder
Pineapple Coconut: caramel with coconut milk, roasted pineapple and toasted coconut
Fruit + Sauv Blanc: Sauvignon Blanc caramel with market fruit
Dill Yogurt: classic caramel with a dollop of Greek yogurt and fresh dill
Orange Candied Coriander: caramel candied coriander and a touch of orange
Carrot + Walnut + Tarragon: carrot caramel with toasted walnuts and fresh tarragon
Rhubarb Orange: classic caramel, market rhubarb reduction and orange zest
Grapefruit Mint: grapefruit marshmallow with fresh mint
Lady Grey: pillowy earl grey tea marshmallow with lavender
