Maplewood’s Lemon Drop Wheat Release Party at Fountainhead

Fountainhead, a well-known craft beer and whisk(e)y bar in Chicago’s Ravenswood neighborhood focusing on local and seasonal food, is excited to host an exclusive release party for Maplewood Brewing Company’s Lemon Drop Wheat! To celebrate, Lemon Drop Wheat and some other favorite Maplewood brews will be available on the main floor and the rooftop garden. Fountainhead will also provide suggested food pairings for each of the brews so guests can easily create the perfect meal. Brewers from Maplewood will be available to answer questions and toast to the release of the new Lemon Drop Wheat brew!

Beers will range from $6-$9. In true Fountainhead fashion, some beer/whiskey pairings will also be available.

Lemon Drop Wheat: American wheat ale showcasing Lemon Drop hop and finishing with Apollo with lots of lemon and citrus flavors. 5.6%

Fat Pug: A variety of roasted grains (pale chocolate, roast barley, chocolate rye and chocolate wheat) combine to produce a complex yet mellow roasted flavor. 5.6%

Charlatan: A unique American Pale Ale with English malt character generously hopped with Simcoe, Citra and Centennial hops. 6.1%

Creepy Ginger: Brewed to celebrate one of the red-headed founders of Maplewood Brewing Company, the Creepy Ginger is a Belgian-Style Golden Strong Ale brewed with a pilsner malt base and a healthy amount of spelt with a modest amount of organic ginger root infused after fermentation to add complexity. 7.8%
