Forbidden Root Introduces New Lunch Specials, “Cluck & Shuck”, and Happy Hour!

Forbidden Root, a Chicago craft brewery and restaurant in West Town at 1746 W. Chicago Ave., is offering new lunch specials, Cluck & Shuck, and happy hour specials!

 

Lunch Special, $10.

Available Monday-Friday

11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Choice of any two from following categories.

 

The assortment rotates, but currently:

Sandwiches:  

  1. Fernet-Cured Ham with pickled veg, spicy mustard on onion roll
  2. Chef’s Grilled Cheese

 

Salads: 

  1. Kale & Spinach with fried chickpeas, shallots and fennel with tahini orange dressing
  2. Chicory Salad with apples, hazelnuts, and currants with bleu cheese dressing

 

Soup:

  1. Cauliflower soup with sunchoke chips and olive oil

 

Mini Beer Flight, $6

Choice of any three 5oz Forbidden Root pours.

What’s surf without turf? High class without low brow? Cleanliness without mess? Life is richer with contrast, so every Tuesday Forbidden Root is offering delicious chicken wings alongside elegant oysters. Take your pick of saucy fingers or half-shell ease, but we recommend feasting on both.
