Katherine Anne Confections, a Chicago-based confiserie which features the delicious creations of confectionista Katherine Duncan, is excited to celebrate its favorite holiday—Valentine’s Day! In addition to being the perfect place to get a special treat for loved ones with an array from truffles, caramels, marshmallows and drinking chocolate, Katherine Anne Confections has planned a night of chocolate and wine pairing!
At 6:30 in the evening, Katherine Anne Confections will light some candles, chill some bubbly, and hang with you. They’ll create 16 pairings with 8 wines (2 sweets per wine).
Chocolate and wine are the quintessential food and drink pairing. For the third annual pairing party, Katherine Anne Confections is taking it to the next level with microbatch sweets. They’re creating limited-edition sweets, some crowd favorites and some completely new. Damien Casten of Candid Wines, an importer/distributor of small production, organic and biodynamic wines, will guide the tasting.
Katherine and Damien will walk you through each pairing. Highly acclaimed restaurant Danke (in Revival Food Hall) will be providing their exemplary house-made charcuterie/cheese plates for savory snacks.
