Katherine Anne Confections Celebrates 10 Years with an Anniversary Festival
Katherine Duncan, founder and confectionista of Katherine Anne Confections is excited to celebrate her 10th anniversary with a week of fun specials culminating in a Katherine Anne Confections Anniversary Festival on Saturday, October 15 from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.
While the confiserie on Armitage Avenue has been open just four years, Katherine is celebrating 10 wonderful years since the launch of Katherine Anne Confections in Chicago.
“I have always admired businesses that have made it to the 10 year mark,” says Katherine Duncan, owner and confectionista at Katherine Anne Confections. “I can hardly believe that we have been creating sweets that long! We’re still learning something new every day. Our lovely, supportive customers are the secret to our longevity. We hope to keep treating them to delicious sweets for another 10 years.”
The celebration begins at 12 p.m. on October 15th with a day-long festival of food, beverages, chocolates and other delights. The festival is open house format, come and go as you please!
ALL DAY!
Guests will enjoy a pig roast put on by Scott Manley from Table, Donkey and Stick/Danke, plus all the fixin’s. Truffles, caramels, and marshmallows will be available for snacking. Beer by Ale Syndicate, and wine from Candid Wines. Plus s’mores roasting over the fire beginning at 5 p.m.
In addition, throughout the day, ticket holders can enjoy the following special treats:
12 p.m.-3 p.m.- Hot chocolate bar! Customers are treated to a generous shot of the acclaimed drinking chocolate, topped with housemade marshmallows. Guests can garnish the drinking chocolate with toppings of their choice, such as candied hazelnuts, sea salt or pink peppercorns.
3 p.m.-5 p.m.- Cocktails from FEW Spirits
5:30 p.m.-7 p.m.- Truffle rolling (and eating). Choose your favorite house-made ganache, roll your own truffle, and garnish with some of Katherine’s most popular ingredients.
7:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.- Wine and chocolate pairings with Candid Wines
